V. A. Abraham
The company’s origin begin with the pursuit of a single person Mr. V. A. Abraham who in the late 60’s did his education in Food Processing and left his native in Kerala and came to the small town of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra to pursue his job in the field of canning seafood. Later in 1978 he quit his job and established himself as an ethical and a major supplier of seafood to different companies across the Western coast of India. He had a vision to put up the processing plant in Ratnagiri with the highest quality standards.
He oversees the entire group operations as a mentor.
Started his career in seafood with putting up the first Independent EU approved preprocessing plant in India. Later He became instrumental in establishing this modern processing plant in Ratnagiri with the best systems and processes. Recognizing that vertical integration is essential to quality Karunya Aqua Farms was set up by him to farm Vannamei with close proximity to the factory.
He oversees the administration of the entire group and is also responsible for key management decisions.
He has completed his Masters in Business Administration from Glasgow UK, holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Foreign Trade , had executive training at Harvard Business School and has also done his Bachelors in Engineering. He also served as a Board Member in a Christian Apologetics Evangelistic Organization.
